The present study has been undertaken to evaluate In-vivo Anti–hyperglycemic and anti–oxidant activities of ethanolic Lantana camara leaves extract (LCE). was prepared by cold percolation process. Phytochemical screening indicates that the presence flavanoids, phenols, carbohydrates etc. Anti-hyperglycemic activity studied using Streptozotocin induced diabetes rat models. Glibenclamide used as a standard drug compare blood glucose level. groups treated with at dose 200 400 mg/kg prevented condition in related manner. LCE rats showed decreased LPO is associated increased SOD catalase. increase level lipid peroxides plasma generally thought be consequence production liberation circulation tissue due pathological changes. This action shows Anti-peroxidative effect LCE. results obtained thus suggest 50% possesses potent Anti-oxidant activity.
